Para przegrzana o ciśnieniu 8,8 MPa i temperaturze 535°C dopływa rurociągami z kotła i dostaje się do turbiny przez zawór główny, nazywany też szybkozamykającym (nie pokazany na rysunku), całkowicie otwarty w czasie normalnej pracy. Następnie rurociągami 1 dopływa do zaworów regulacyjnych 2 (jeden lub częściej kilka, tu 4), znajdujących się pod wpływem regulatora prędkości obrotowej. Zawory regulacyjne są tu połączone z komorami dyszowymi 3, u których wylotu są zamocowane nieruchome łopatki kierownicze 4 pierwszego stopnia turbiny 29, nazywane zwyczajowo dyszami.
