disk

English to Italian Medical Medical: Dentistry
This 23-year-old lady was presented with a high lip line and a gingival imbalance (Figure 21). Although this was not a severe case, she was very eager to undergo a correction. We
began with a more moderate lip repositioning surgical procedure where we retained the fraenum (Figure 22). A few months later we fitted an Inman Aligner to correct the alignment of the anterior teeth (Figure 23) and carried out a
small amount of gingival sculpting (Figure 24) with a Cera Tip (Komet) although many other techniques such as laser would suffice. When correcting the alignment of anterior teeth we
often notice that the incisal length may vary, with the tooth appearing longer when moved buccally and shorter when moved palatally. Thus to achieve a balance again we can either bond composite to the shorter or ** disk ** the
longer tooth, whichever the patient prefers.
Here we ** disked ** the centrals a small amount to
balance the aesthetic result.
