Im Zusammenhang mit Kunst:
Auf grossen Tafeln wird Bildmaterial dargestellt, das in regelmässigen Intervallen durch die Betrachter selbst ausgewechselt wird.
Der Autor nennt dies "aktive Bespielung der Tafeln durch die Benutzer".
Könnte man Bespielung hier mit "programmation" übersetzen?

You're right ... You're absolutely right, and programming was actually what I wrote in my draft. "Programmation" was a mistake made in the heat of the moment ;-) Sorry.

Programmation isn't a standard English word (as far as I know :-) If you want a word of this type, go for "active programming".

Given that the context explains what \"active programming\" is being used to mean, I think this is fine. (I\'ve seen a sculpture where passers-by can ring different numbers on their mobile phone and thereby change the colour of the lights within the sculpture - I don\'t know what they call that, but \"active programming\" seems as good as anything).
