Hi all,
This is relating to membership of the Bar Association in Spain. I think that the person has lapsed membership for his own reasons and have drafted 'is taking leave from membership of the Association at his own request', but want to be sure I'm getting it right... any other suggestions or ideas as to how I could phrase this better?
Thanks in advance,
Mimi

has been temporarily suspended from the association upon his/her own request
The temporary aspect is important. "estar de baja" implies that one can "estar de alta" without fuzz. Eg. "sick leave" is coloqually "estar de baja". "darse de baja" is usually not "renunciar"
