En Colombia utilizamos esta palabra para referirnos a un utensilio para comer, un tenedor, una cuchara, un cuchillo. Yo utilizo Silverware, pero cuando te refieres a una unidad, me gustarían varias versiones en inglés... Muchas gracias.

utensil

You have utensils (the individual pieces-- fork, knife, or spoon). There's also place setting (which is the whole set of them).

Piece of silverware/ kitchen utensil

Lamento no ser de mayor utilidad, pero en el caso de una pieza individual, ya sea cuchara, tenedor, cuchillo, la única opción que se me ocurre es "piece of silverware", a no ser que se les llame por su nombre (spoon, fork, knife). Kitchen utensil se refiere más bien a utensilios para cocinar, en lo individual, por ejemplo ladle, wooden spoon, cook's knife, etc.

cutlery

The general name is “cutlery”, or silverware if it is real silver.

cubierto = a piece of cutlery(or Silverware cutlery)
