El arco toral, es el ***arco transversal*** a la nave que sustenta la bóveda. En las bóvedas de cañón, es puramente un refuerzo. También se llama así a cada uno de los arcos sobre los que descansa una cúpula.

Arco toral or transversal is transverse arch.

transverse arch : Supporting arch which runs across the vault from side to side, dividing the bays. it usually projects down from the surface of the vault.
