VERY weird problem, single key slow when word is open!

Hi,
I was hoping anyone had an answer to this mysterious bug:
The key ':' (or 'ø', on the Norwegian keyboard) turns slow whenever MS word is open, I need to keep it pressed down for it to react. Then, when I close MS word, the key magically starts to function as normal.
Has anyone ever experienced this? I've tried to check for viruses and malware and repaired all versions of MS Office, still no luck. It only applies to Word, not excel.

Remove Normal.dot

Copy your active Normal.dot-file to a save location and start Word without it. Word will create a new file with no settings. I believe this key is defined some way so it does something else than expected.

Thank you for the suggestion, Heinrich!

It could have been the problem, and definitely a thing to look out for if I experience other, similar problems in the future.
I finally managed to solve this by removing the hot keys for input languages in 'Advanced Key Settings'. Why these hot keys would create a problem, and most often when I opened word or Trados, is still a mystery to me. Removing them was a shot in the dark out of desperation, wish I had tried that before.
Mvh,
Erik
