I am a natural born linguist and a writer, former bank clerk, embassy clerk/translator/interpreter and a business woman. My formal working history had a sudden end in the eighties of the past century due to my personal bankruptcy in the field of fashion shoes and accessories that then led me to look for other alternatives than doing business for earning my living.
My efforts reached such endeavours as the university exams for psychology and health care with the results of missing the demanded score for the legal entry just by the marginal few points.
I from thereon, from the middle of 1980's ended up working short-term assignments mainly in administrative and secretarial tasks; them including translating inbetween Eng-Fin-Eng. I was also involved as a volunteer for helping my then husband in all sorts of translating and administrative issues that he in his artistic imagination discovered to be applied for market interests in Finland that had just entered the global economy in a larger and freer scale financially.
My role as a mediator inbetween different social and hierarchical schemes developed within the years of my official unemployement then naturally along with the changing world and cohesion seeking Europe beside a culture that I wasn't born in. I was reading on my own all I found interesting for my linguistic and translational interests at the same time that I was found at the market selling my old clothes or something else for the daily bread of the family.
By the turn of the century 1900 to 2000 my life and all social ties in it met with the dead end of finding solutions to have both the family and economics together. The divorce was a reality not to be avoided and all lived had to be left behind for an unknown future that I am currently living, still without work or anything new in my social referencing to call life.
I have used my energies in these long and tidious years after my divorce for writing and linguistics so that Them are constituting my reality more than anything else. This for the part of writing is what I was dreaming in my teens to be: a professional writer on my own.
