Cuando me enterè acerca de la decisiòn de A. , de vender su casa, sentì mucha trizteza, porque pensè que serìa mejor que USTEDES hicieran una casa para cada quien o dividir el acre. Pero cada quien es responsable y dueño de sus decisiones para evitar conflictos con los hijos.
Estoy sorprendida de lo que me dices, yo no merezco parte de su herencia, ustedes son sus hijos. Y creo y estoy segura y agradezco a A. , que ella me transmitiò mucho amor y me enseñò a disfrutar la naturaleza,las montañas, sobre todo sus preferidas, las de Boulder.

Source text - Spanish "Cuece los tallarines en abundante agua hirviendo con una pizca de sal. Transcurridos aproximadamente unos 6 minutos, o cuando estén al dente, refréscalos bajo un chorro de agua fría y escurre.
Mientras tanto, pela y pica en cuadraditos la cebolla y el diente de ajo. Cocina a fuego suave en una sartén con un par de cucharadas de aceite de oliva.
Una vez salteada la cebolla, agrega los tomates pelados, sin pepitas, la pera pelada y troceada, sube la intensidad del fuego y saltea la verdura con la pera. Cuando esté dorada la superficie, vierte sobre ella la nata y la mitad del queso azul.
A fuego medio deja que reduzca la salsa con las verduras y la pera, espolvorea una pizca de albahaca fresca recién troceada, agrega los tallarines, mezcla bien para que se impregnen de la salsa.
Sirve al momento con unos trocitos de queso azul por encima en daditos."
Translation - English "Cook the noodles in plenty of boiling water with a pinch of salt. When approximately 6 minutes have passed, or when they’re al dente, cool down under a stream of cold water and strain.
In the meantime, peel and dice the onion and the clove of garlic. Cook over low heat in a frying pan with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil.
Once the onion is sautéed, add the deseeded and peeled tomato, the peeled and chopped pear, increase the heat and sauté the vegetables with the pear. When their surfaces have browned, pour in the cream and add half of the blue cheese.
Over medium heat let the vegetable and pear sauce cook down, sprinkle a bit of freshly chopped basil, add the noodles, mix well so that they soak up the sauce.
Serve at once with some little pieces of cubed blue cheese on top.

Hello. My name is Olivia and I am a freelance translator, interpreter, and writer based out of Barcelona, Spain. A native English speaker originally from the United States, I am a qualified translator of Spanish to English. While I have the capacity and willingness to translate and interpret in various fields, much of my experience is within the legal sector. I have successfully translated legal contracts, financial reports, and documents having to do with all manner of technological, scientific, and commercial topics. I am an accomplished legal interpreter, having interpreted extensively within the American justice system. I completed a diploma program in Legal Interpreting in English and Spanish at New York University in December 2016. I hold a B.A. in anthropology from Haverford College (where I graduated with honors), and a minor/concentration in creative writing.
My knack for translation lies in my love of literature and writing. Of course, my knowledge of the legal system and my ability to decode legal jargon in English and Spanish are assets as well.
Finally, exposure to Latin American culture paired with analytical study of culture and society through my degree in anthropology are hidden items in my translation tool belt. I’ve spent a lot of my life in the Spanish-speaking world, both as a young child in Mexico and more recently living and working in Chile, Colombia, and now Spain. I’ve taken a lot of time to listen, write, and reflect about Latin American politics and identity, and how it relates to the North American worldview. This act of translating culture has also helped me with some of the more subtle translation quandaries I’ve come across so far.
