English to Korean: Winnie the Pooh General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English "Winnie the Pooh" is a sweet and innocuous children's movie based on the enduring tale of goings-on in Hundred Acre Wood. Although it's obviously intended for grade schoolers and below, it may be appreciated by adults who grew up with the A.A. Milne books and the drawings by E.H. Shepard that are so closely identified with it. This is that rare book that can hardly be thought of apart from its illustrations.
In a time of shock-value 3-D animation and special effects, the look of the film is gentle and pleasing. It was hand-animated, I'm told, and the backgrounds use a subtle and reassuring watercolor style. It's a nightmare-proof experience for even the youngest viewers.
The story you can probably guess. Pooh Bear craves honey, and many adventures result from his quest. An urgent subplot involves Eeyore the donkey, who has lost his tail. A possible clue can be found in the pin that is stuck where the tail was; do you suppose it was only pinned on all the time? As a result of his loss, Eeyore is more gloomy and lethargic than usual, and indeed in a grown-up movie, we would suspect clinical depression.
Translation - Korean “곰돌이 푸”는 100 에이커 숲 속에서 일어나는 일들에 관한 불후의 소설을 바탕으로 한 감미롭고 무해한 아동 영화이다. 책은 비록 명백하게 초등학생 이하의 아동을 대상으로 만들어지긴 하였으나, A.A. 밀른의 책과 그의 책과 매우 밀접하게 연상되는 E.H. 쉐퍼드의 그림을 읽고 보며 자란 성인들도 즐길만한 영화이다. 이 책은 그 일러스트레이션과 떼어서는 거의 생각할 수 없는 그런 성격의 매우 드문 책이다.
오늘날과 같은 충격적인 3D 애니메이션과 특수효과의 시대에, 이 영화의 겉모습은 부드럽고도 편안하다. 내가 듣기로는 이 영화는 수작업으로 애니메이션화 했으며, 배경은 미묘하고도 안심을 주는 물색 스타일을 사용한다고 한다. 이 영화는 매우 어린 관객에게조차 악몽을 일으키지 않을 편안한 경험이다.
아마도 여러분은 이야기를 짐작할 수 있을 것이다. 곰돌이 푸가 꿀 생각이 간절해서 그것을 찾아 나선 끝에 수 많은 모험을 경험하게 된다. 당나귀 이오루라는 이름의 부차적 줄거리의 대상이 갑자기 나타나는데, 이 이오루라는 당나귀는 꼬리를 잃어버렸다. 한 가지 가능한 단서를 꼬리가 붙어 있던 자리에 박혀 있는 핀에서 찾을 수 있는데, 당신은 꼬리가 늘 핀으로 고정되어 있었다는 것을 상상이나 할 수 있을까? 꼬리를 잃어버린 결과, 이오루는 평소보다 더욱 우울하고 무기력해졌으며, 실제로 성인 영화에서였다면, 사람들이 임상우울증이 아닌가 하는 의심을 했을 것이다.

나로 살기 위한 곰돌이 푸의 마음을 들여다보는 말.
“푸는 말이야,
머리는 별로 좋지 않지만 절대 나쁜 일은 하지 않아!
바보 같은 짓을 해도 푸가 하면 잘 돼.”
