My name is Laura Tonello and I am the owner of a small translation agency based in Florida.
I am looking for a KAZAKH/English native translators + editors/proofreaders for ENGLISH into KAZAKH translation projects (and viceversa) to work for my agency on a regular basis (but still, as free-lancer so I cannot assure consistent work) for a long-term cooperation.
If you are interested, can you please send me your CV to this email specifying:
- Your native language and your language pairing(s)
- Are you a full-time translator?
- Your availability (all day? Weekends? Nights?)
- Your approximate rate/source word in USD for translation?
- Your approximate rate/source word in USD for editing/proofreading?
- Do you have a minimum fee?
- Do you have any certification of professional translator or affiliation to Translation associations (e.g. ATA, CIOL etc.)?
- How many words you are able to translate/day
- Some references of already executed translations.
- Are you able to reply immediately to email/phone?
- Field of specialization (business, legal, marketing etc.)?
- How good you are with formatting (e.g. create tables for translation of Birth/Marriage/Divorce/Death certificates or work with Excel files with java language)
- Do you use SDL TRADOS or any other CAT tools?
- Are you available to execute a short translation test?
- Can you do post-DTP review? This means that the translation will be inserted from my designer in a PDF and you need to insert comments about punctuation/layout/inconsistencies mistakes necessary to deliver an error-free PDF to my client
- Can you send me a few samples of your most important projects?

4) Please excuse me if I do not reply to your further questions immediately but I am also busy managing day-to-day operations, so I review CVs of potential new linguists only once/week. I generally pre-select linguists as a combination of rates and qualifications/experience.
5) I have a very fast payment policy: the first project will be paid within one week, afterwards I ask all my linguists to send me an invoice monthly containing all projects of the month, and I pay it within the first week of the following month e.g. if you send me your invoice by Jan.30th with all the projects of January, I will be paying it by max the 7th of February).
6) Please send both your CV and detailed reply to all my questions as based on this, I will pre-select linguists.
