One paper done. Now copy-editing a second academic paper on film theory. Equally interesting and challenging, which is really great.. I love my work! Fully esconced in a copy-editing job on film theory. Interesting and challenging a la vez. I'm definitely wearing my academic hat this week! Am enjoying squeezing in a bit of CPD alongside normal jobs. A Venezuelan course on Cognitive Stimulation is providing a different type of workout for my own "little grey cells". (Glad to learn there is no age limit for learning new things! As translation work is often a journey of exploration and discovery, I should be here for many years to come!) Also having fun translating a Golden Age poem into Cockney Rhyming Slang. Never a dull moment! 1 user (edited) Submitted an entry to the John Dryden Translation Competition yesterday. https://bcla.org/prizes-awards/john-dryden-translation-competition/. So chuffed as it was really fun to do! Spanish-to-English academic translation on ageing

An unusual way to spend a Saturday night, especially in August, but must be done. Penultimate assignment Advanced Spanish-to-English Translation Course. Not long to go now... |
