This rather convoluted sentence includes the phrase "detinguts han fet designa d'advocat", which I assume means they have appointed a solicitor? Or have they had a solicitor appointed to them?

"Han de saber que restem a l'espera de poder valorar la mercaderia que tenien a sobre les dos persones detingudes en el moment de la seva detenció, doncs aquesta mercaderia l'hi ha de ser retornada a l'assegurat i per tant ha de restar en la indemnització que en tot cas prosperi, com també han de ser conscients que dos dels detinguts han fet designa d'advocat el que fa pensar que son persones solvents i conseqüentment podríem fer una acció de repetició per recuperar dels causants les quanties indemnitzades al vostre assegurat"
