mock wrap-around Explanation: As this s a knit, I guess it is a top. http://www.thefind.com/apparel/info-mock-wrap-around ´Real´wrap-arounds have double layers and require comparatively large amounts of fabric. The can be very stylish and comfortable, but they can be bulky and shapeless if made in the wrong kind of material or have inadequate fastenings. The mock version is economical on fabric, and probably more suitable for work or an active life, and keeps the smart design and comfortable style. *** Wrap-around skirts come and go in fashion. There are some lovely designs, and they have the advantage that they fit all sizes and are kind to those with a less-than-ideal figure :-) However, they have the disadvantage that they can blow about in the wind and reveal too much for comfort or decency. So a mock version, held down with a side seam, solves that problem too! http://www.aimcraft.com/apparel/wraparoundskirts.asp |
