English term or phrase: to be in bed with somebody
About a newspaper being "in bed" with someone. I understand the meaning: "closely related". I think "obvarzan" is a likely translation in BG, or "dupe i gashti" even more meaty. Could someone quote for me an officially published translation in BG (author, title, etc.) I need to indicate reliable references. Do you think it could bear certain sexual relation connotation if the editor of this newspaper is a woman and the "somebody" is a man?! SO ethimology link would be much appreciated.

Explanation:
I like your "дупе и гащи" interpretation of the source expression. However, I don't think we'll be able to find an officially-published translation. It is not that they could not exist. On the contrary, there might be quite a few but time-wise, it will be hard to get one.

As per Gaberoff English-Bulgarian Dictionary, the meaning of the said expression is "влизам в сдружение с, обединявам се за общи действия".

And no, I don't think it bears any sexual relation connotations whatsoever. In a certain context though, it might sound ambiguous but still not enough to be interpreted as an allusion of that kind.

Asker: I was supposed to help a solicitor build a claim motive. I was sure this could be a very feable clue, but official references were needed to support my opinion
