agree  Barend van Zadelhoff: 'pols-/handorthese' lijkt me. Vergelijk: https://tinyurl.com/34zt9z55 en https://tinyurl.com/yt6zbcas Volledige term = resting pan mitt splint. // Dat is maar één uitvoering, je moet uiteraard kijken naar het brede veld van overlap en principe/functie.

  -> Bedankt, Barend. Toch vind ik het frapopant dat er geen NL afbeeldingen zijn van die letterlijke resting pan, een soort bak waarin je pols rust.

De term ' orthese' van Lianne van de Ven lijkt ook correct; 'rustspalk' is mijns inziens te algemeen. Afbeeldingen van rustspalken laten braces zien die de beweging van het gewricht ondersteunen. Een resting pan immobiliseert het gewricht.
