Yes, of course, they are all close synonyms — like caisson, enceinte, boîte, boîtier, and several more. However, in FR as in EN, there are subtle nuances of usage that dictate when one or another is more applicable; and being familiar with this type of pump and its construction, I am confident that my choice is along the right lines; the 'cased' here has very much the sense of 'cased in', 'encased', and to some extent, 'protected'.
Regarding 'entrainement', I would certainly not argue the case so firmly; however, do note that this isn't actually referring (directly) to the motor-pump drive connection: in this case, the 'drive' simply means 'the moving part' — which in a peristaltic pump is in essence little more than a rotor; hence this has little of the sense of a 'drive chain' that one might find in say an automotive context; it certainly isn't a 'drive mechanism' — it is just 'la partie mobile' or 'le rotor'.

Both coffret and casing defs have the "renferme/enclosing" part and both apply to technical equipment.

'cased' here opposes the perhaps more familiar 'open' type — it simply means that the moving part ('drive') is enclosed in some kind of 'case'
