Il s'agit ici d'un essai d'étanchéité à l'hélium. Avant de procéder à l'essai proprement dit, il faut ce "baking" de l'élément de test.

Je ne sais pas si le sens premier de baking = cuisson peut s'appliquer dans ce contexte.

J'ai trouvé "baking" qui signifie "fixer" la poudre (technique de maquillage)
