Contoh sederhana: Di suatu sekolah yg memberlakukan 'pay banding', seorang guru bisa mendapatkan kenaikan gaji jika prestasi kerjanya bagus dan mendapatkan kenaikan golongan, misalnya dari golongan 1 ke golongan 2.
