English term or phrase: Appear in front of the Magistrates Court
I am looking for the correct way to say 'Appear in front of the Magistrates Court' in Spanish. The Magistrates Court is related to the UK Legal system. I believe that 'Magistrates Court' is 'juzgado de primera instancia', though I am not sure about whether this is correct or not which is why I am asking.

Thanks

appear in front of the Magistrates' Court E+W
comparecer en juzgado de instrucción

Explanation:
Note :

1. magistrates' court is England + Wales. In Scotland it is called a 'Sheriff Court'.

2. It is a juzgado because it is single lay-judge court - often 'assisted' by an autocratic, legally qualified Clerk of the Court - and not a tribunal as a multi-panel court.

3. the Mags Court hear not only criminal cases, but also some civil cases, such as alcohol licensing applications in a 'Brewster Hearing'.

comparecer ante el Magistrate's Court

Explanation:
