What is the meaning of art in this context:
"Publisher shall, within thirty (30) days from receipt of the manuscript, accept the manuscript and art, if any, reject it and terminate this Agreement, or return the manuscript translated to the French language for correction or revision"
In another part, it appears the following sentence:
"one copy of the complete manuscript for the Work in the Spanish language accompanying cover art, interior art, and ancillary materials, table of contents, preface, foreword, if any; bibliography or glossary, if any; and the illustrations, if any, acceptable in form, style, content and of good reproduction quality together with all captions they require."
In this sentence it appears "cover art".

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

maquetación
Pienso que en tu contexto se habla de manuscript (material original sin tocar aún por el diseñador) por contraposición a art (material una vez diseñado y maquetado). Es decir, el editor se reserva el derecho de aceptar o no el material, tanto en fondo como en forma en el caso de que ya esté maquetado.
Sería algo así como...
El Editor puede, en los treinta (30) días posteriores a la recepción de los originales, aceptar el manuscrito original y la maquetación, en caso de que ya esté maquetado, o rechazarlo y extinguir el contrato...
Se puede formular la frase de otras maneras, pero espero que pueda ayudarte.

En este contexto creo que es a lo que se refiere la frase, a que pueden rechazar el contenido tanto maquetado con la dirección de arte hecha como sin maquetar. Es solo mi opinión :-)
