English term or phrase: divide to span
Hola:

[... ]so when XXXX promises design and luxury under one roof, it’s got a slightly bigger divide to span than the typical urban luxury boutique.

¡Gracias por la ayuda!

ofrecer algo más // ofrecer algo más especial
Explanation:
Este es el contexto general:

"The phrase “design hotel” doesn’t mean quite the same thing in [nombre de la ciudad] as it does in Berlin. The prevailing mood in this paradise is still a pretty traditional one - so when a hotel like XXXX promises design and luxury under one roof, it's got a slightly bigger divide to span than the typical urban luxury boutique."

Explanation:
Span the divide: unificar, cerrar la brecha.
