in closed holes Explanation: A "poquet" is a small hole made in the ground with the hand, to sow seeds in tufts. As such, without being sure, I can propose "closed holes", and I think it can go in this context. |

dibbling or pocket drilling Explanation: Haensch & Haberkamp de Anton: Dibbelsaat, Horstsaat = dibbling, pocket drilling = semis en poquets I'm guessing that he fertilised by pocket drilling, too, with the holes being covered over (which is why he says "fermé) instead of just spreading the fertilisers. HTH! |
