Would "fractionnement" mean "splitting" - "splitting around the angles of the facades" or "dividing into smaller pieces to fit around the angles of the facades? I would be most grateful for any suggestions.

fractional divisions at the bypass

Explanation:
The divisions can be separations or a process by which some parts are separated or divided into fractional components.
I understood:
'The factors causing disorder originate from a flaw in the tiler's work, since he did not make any joints, he did not respect the joints of the support provided. There was no space surrounding the singular points, such as the metallic folds of a body guard (parapet); he didn't make any fractional divisions or separations at the points of bypassing corners and facades.'

I think it means that the tiles are adapted to fit the angles of the corners, with accurate consideration of the measurements of the sides or walls. Fractional divisions would take place if the tiling material were cut into separated tiles, which would each be sections or parts of the main larger tiles.

Here's a reference with guidance on tiling a wall by a window's recess:
'To create a good transition into the side-facing tiles inside the recess of a window, an expert suggests a tile trim, preferably a chrome trim. The tiling trim is attached inside the recess once it's cut to length with corners at 45 degree angles to fit separate pieces together with a professional finish to a trimmed tile frame creation.'

Example sentence(s):

disagree  Tony M: 'Bypass' would be nonsense here, and 'fractional divisions' makes very little sense in the context of tiling.

disagree  Daryo: agree with Tony + you can't ignore that each trade has its own jargon making general purpose / context free definition rarely helpful for anything more than a starting point, and often not even that.

Note to reference poster
Asker: Thank you so much for all your very pertinent research. I now understand what it is but finding the right expression in English is not so easy. I think I will be putting "fraction joint" used on a website selling sealants and defined by the site as a mechanical cut of one-third of the depth.
