  -> Thanks kashew. Another alternative translation is a medium (of the ghost-interviewing variety), but that didn't seem likely.

agree  Charles Davis: Clearly what the term means, to my mind (there are many types of specialist), but I'd leave out "meetings". Séances is surely sessions. // Councils have meetings; I don't think the House of Commons does. But anyway it doesn't matter; I wouldn't put either
