first attempt to deliver the notification metter Explanation: OR first attempted deliver of... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 mins (2021-03-08 14:25:16 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- CORRECTION of body of text: first attempted deliverY of... Oops! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2021-03-08 16:21:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- What happens in practice is that after the first attempted delivery, La Poste will leave a note for you saying that it missed you/you were out, would you like it to attempt to deliver again the following day. The following day, if the attempt to deliver fails again, you get a second note saying that you can collect your letter (or indeed parcel) from the local post office. Fascinating details, I'm sure you'll agree. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2021-03-08 16:21:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- You're welcome Tony! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2021-03-08 16:23:06 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Oops...Chris! Apologies. I'm supposed to be on a day off today, so my concentration level isn't 100% at all. |
