Italian to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / power of attorney
."

This comes from a short power of attorney granting special powers of attorney to the surveyor, whom I have presumed is the party mentioned in this second paragraph.

I am now unsure if I have presumed correctly because I cannot see where this part fits in, and whose inheritance is being disclaimed.

Notes to answerer
Asker: No. As I explained I am already aware this is about a residual inheritance or succession.

Explanation:
as Cillie S. surmises : .... accruing to the Principal. It might amount, in the UK, to a Deed of Arrangement aka Variation of XX's Will gifting to the Principal such 'eredità relitta in morte di XX' and signed by the Surveyor per pro.

Question closed rather early, but this could be a case of 'renunciation and disclaimer' made for tax reasons or because the estate of XX had been *insolvent* making the Land Surveyor as the Attorney-in-Fact vicariously liable - on the Principal's behalf -for all the debts of XX's estate.

BTW, entitlement to the residue in ENG Common Law is in fact - in Roman civil law systems - a 'universal gift' of everything left over after payment of debts and legacies,
