sweeping statement


Explanation:
"serkap jarang" literally means using a wide net to catch the unwary fishes. In actual sense you make statements that may even border on slander and innuendo like "every job poster in that exchange are out exploit the naive job-seekers". In the process, you lump the innocents together with the guilty.

neutral  yam2u: i think 'wild guess' = 'tekaan liar'. to make sweeping statements = to make generalizations (which may or may not include wild guesses).
