It's off-color in exactly the same degree as in the original. It's just as suggestive. It's just as... slightly imprecise. Another translator gave you a rendering that's almost right (except it's Ukrainian politics, not politicians) - really, you had it yourself, since it's the direct rendering. In both the original and the translation, it's a phrase that's really understood in context. You'd have to have a compelling reason to change/adapt it. |
