  -> I totally disagree with your opinion. My suggestion is not necessarily to be taken literally. There are countries where the Academic Senate simply does not exist and a close sense can be associated with the Collegiate given the nature of the institution.

disagree  Angelo Berbotto: Bruno, I think the expectation is that contributor's suggestions ARE TO BE TAKEN literally, that is why the asker actually asks the question. In this case, the term Senate is widely in use in English-speaking countries and that is the correct rendition.
