Engineering (general) / Forensic Ballistics
Spanish term or phrase: Eslabón
It is part of a forensic ballistics expert report from Mexico, where they list various evidence collected, and one of the items is "eslabones de metal color negro".

It is my understanding that an "eslabón" is part of the trigger mechanism of a firearm. However, since firearms seem to have many parts and very specific names for them, I cannot figure out its English equivalent.
