currency purchasing power Explanation: Currency purchasing power Purchasing power is the value of a currency expressed in terms of the amount of goods or services that one unit of money can buy. Purchasing power is important because, all else being equal, inflation decreases the amount of goods or services you would be able to purchase. suggestion for the whole thing Explanation: I don't think "currency" is the right word, because there's no indication that this is about foreign exchange transactions. I suggest: "A coefficient of 1.4765 has been used to update the figures as at 31December 2018 to their purchasing power on 31 December 2019." I assume this is a country with high inflation, and they divide the 2018 figures by the coefficient to get the 2019 ones. |
