Spanish term or phrase: si creemos o no, no nos compete
Howdy all ! What is the translation of Dios compete please ? Thank you. I suppose compete means up to. I'm not sure. I'm not sure I understand for it's difficult to understand Biblical stuff. I suppose it means if we believe, it's up to God. It's GOD who chooses whether we believe or not, or are scoffers, skeptics, or not , and not us who decide whether we believe or not ?

efraín delivered Abba's message to the world . we need to obey God more than anyone else . let us pray = Father, in the Name of Jesus, efraín is freed from the blood of those who heard this message . ** if we believe or not, it is not up to us . ** it is up to the Holy Spirit . the seed was put into the earth . God's and Jesus' slaves will be responsible for multiplying it . Father, bless them all and put a hedge of protection around them all . make a hedge around them and around all the beings they know, their enemies, all the beings they see regularly, all their dear ones.

si creemos o no, no nos compete .

if we believe or not, it isn't our responsibility .
if we believe or not, it doesn't fall to us .
if we believe or not, it is not up to us .
if we believe or not, it is not our concern .

agree  Yvonne Gallagher: (more fluid reversed IMO) it's not up to us, (regardless of) whether we believe (this) or not,

-> Thank you, Yvonne! I think "believe" follows directly on the previous context and is meant in the sense of "whether we are believers or not."

agree  ormiston: Agree with Yvonne's version. But 'regardless of' feels a little redundant

Whether we believe this or not, it is not our responsibility.

Explanation:
I would go with either of these options:

- Whether we believe this or not, it is not up to us. It is up to the Holy Spirit.
- Whether we believe this or not, it is not our responsibility.

whether we believe or not, is not for us to decide

Explanation:
It means that it is not within our competence or purview, it is not our job, we have no choice.
