Spanish term or phrase: la mano castiga al culo
This seems to be an expression used in the Argentine card game truco. It appears, without much context other than the game itself, in a script I am translating
Thanks!

you have the upper hand

Explanation:
Or, “the first player has the upper hand.” That depends on how the game goes.

disagree  Jessica Higham: The dealer does not win, the dealer is pie, not mano! see ref: https://www.nhfournier.es/como-jugar/truco/

the first player always beats the rest

Explanation:
The translation is just one option among many, you could go for something more metaphoric, but I am sure of the meaning: the "mano" (the person who plays a card first in the round, always the person to the right of the dealer- turns to deal rotate anticlockwise) beats the other players if they should play cards of the same value.
