Spanish term or phrase: saltar la púa
This is an expression in a script by an Argentine filmmaker. One character is referring to another one that he blames for the death of a common friend:

"Ojo aquel, que no le salte la púa, también.

kick the bucket
Explanation:
I think the translation could be "Let him be careful, lest he kick the bucket too.

The context provided is not enough. We don´t even know the name of the film. Is it "el secreto de sus ojos" or "la historia oficial"?

Explanation:
It'd be better to have more context, but my best guess is that it means the character might lose his composure. "Saltar la púa" literally refers to the needle of a record player jumping and isn't a very common expression.
Some close idioms we use more often are "meter púa" (drive a wedge between) and "saltar la ficha" (wise up to), but I don't think either is the case here.
