Again I take Wilsonn's point but i might be useful to compare and contrast the two terms, hopefully the right way round in English. Alas, the standard and level of family law, parroted-notes 'teaching' at College tended to be confused in my day. A 'split' order can be made in England + Wales and other British Commonwealth countries: physical care + control to one parent or relative: aunt or grandparent and legal custody, namely making decisions on education, religious upbringing and how and where school holidays are spent to the other.
