Can anyone say "drama queen?" 24 people felt it was not beneath their dignity to verify the translation, only you have an issue with it. Go figure. Anyway I'm done, and for everyone's sake I hope you are too.
Sorry, Robert. I didn't mean to disagree with you (the reason I have not given a reply), but I feel this question should not be posted on Kudoz. Any dictionary is easy to look at. Sorry, I had nothing against your reply. It was just too easy!
Thank you, Juan Jacob. I'm grateful, especially at this "exhausted" moment of mine. I think this happens to all serious translators. I actually connected to Kudoz to relax a bit, but when I saw this question, I just couldn't believe it. Thanks again.
Mª is simply María. Hdz. stands for Hernández, and so on. As a paying member, you should know the rules: first search everywhere before asking. You didn't.
I have every respect for beginners and also experienced translators who have a problem at a given moment (such as myself), but this site is NOT a joke. It's for serious questions. And I'll go to bed when I wish, thank you!
I couldn't believe that someone was actually asking for help for this "doubt" and I still can't. I don't know what you mean about being "sorry" for I'm not sorry for anything, except, perhaps, that some people don't realize the importance of this site.
This amazes me, Chris. I am one of the people who tends to defend others from wrotten comments (even where it comes to moderators). This is probably the first time that I myself also have my comments to make for I eind this question highly unprofessional.
Sorry, Chris. I disagree. Every single Spanish-English translator knows the meaning of this. EVEN the exhausted ones! I tend to answer the very simplest of questions for I know many people are starting out, but, to me, this one was just the limit.
With even a cursory glance at the entries below you would see that the answer is neither quick nor easy. If you are so "exhausted" why waste more energy in such pointless venting?
Sorry. I refuse to give an answer here for several reasons: 1. "Mª" is so easily found in any Spanish dictionary. 2. This is any but a PRO question. With a minimum of rearch, including Google, you could have found the answer very quickly and easily.
