Spanish term or phrase: 'sacadas'
Contexto:

agree  Chema Nieto Castañón: Isn't it actually the other way around? Sacadas, meaning large groups of people (plantation workers) taken "out" (out of Philippines in this case -and sent to work in Hawaii...)
9 hrs
-> Thank you, Chema! The term also means an individual that works outside their region. It is a Filipino term, the Americans anglicized it as "sakadas" when they heard it from the Filipino workers. The context provided clearly shows native use.
