Short Profile:
I have 22 years’ experience as a full-time translator from English to Swedish.
I have been working in-house, but five years ago I set up my own business as a
freelancer.

During my
time at my former company (2001-2017), I was working with different projects
and tasks, such as:

Translating articles,
magazines and books on various subjects, such as history, lifestyle, tourism, IT,
HR, marketing, popular science, religion and juridical subjects.

During 2007-2017
I was in charge of a translation department of about 30 persons. My tasks as a
manager included the following:

Finding new
translators.

Giving ongoing
training to our translators and proofreaders.

Evaluating
translation works for accuracy and naturalness.

Responsibility
for our internal terminology and style guide.

Setting up
teams and keeping up with deadlines.

Leading planning
meetings.

As a
freelancer (2017-), I have been a project manager for around 60 books, working in
the whole chain from translation, editorial tasks and proofreading to design
(Indesign) and delivery of printing files to the printery. Furthermore, I have
been translating large web pages in several different topics and have been
evaluating other translators’ work for accuracy and naturalness as an LQA
reviewer for several translation agencies in Europe.

My wife and I
have also assisted several companies with copywriting and SEO adapted content
to their web pages, often working directly in the clients’ Wordpress account.
Furthermore, I have helped several clients creating and optimising Google Ad
campaigns.

Also, I have
been teaching Swedish to expatriates working in IT companies in Sweden, using
my own prepared course. The course is designed both for individuals and groups.
