MCVIEGAS . Lilt’s recruitment process took quite a long time to complete, from the first contact, then all the regular e-mail exchanging with personal information, agreements to sign, and other things. But that is no different from the onboarding process of any other agencies to which translators usually apply.
The translation tool is straightforward to learn and to use. I have used a few other web-based translation platforms, and Lilt’s by far the fastest and most relaxed I have ever used.
The translation & review interface needs improvements to accommodate features already consolidated in other tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, MemSource Cloud, MemoQ, WF, among others), though.
The other significant aspect of Lilt is the people working behind the scene. Your questions and requests never go unattended.
The payment system is still unclear to me, but accounts payable staff often get back to you promptly.
The deeply dreamed-of future is here. AI has come to stay. There is no going back. We need to adapt and help it become better so we can manage our work better.
I would recommend both clients and translators to give Lilt’s tool a try. I think we will still hear great things about it!

How easy is it to learn?
A user-friendly tool for all kinds of translations! Worth your try!
Review by
Holly Nguyen . Lilt is an easy-to-use online tool which enables me to work everywhere, every time.
The tool - with its "Find" & "Replace" function - is extremely convenient when it comes to global changes throughout the whole big project (files across files), when, you may know, translators usually change their minds as they get to know more about contexts after many strings translated.
The new function "Metadata" is a great way for translators to effortlessly get the visual source. I do hope that "Metadata" is applied in more projects. Hoping they will offer more new great functions like this.
My eyes love the comfortable design of this platform too!
About Lilt company, I enjoy working with them as they are transparent and supportive. Their payment method is fast and not demanding. We just need to create a Payoneer account, there is no need to do complex steps of invoicing or anything else. Sometimes, their payments arrived late, but they always informed me of that issue and clearly stated which date my payment would come.
Lilt is worth your try!

Desiree Davidse . Lilt is a great tool to use and I like how quickly it learns and improves. I also can translate/review much quicklier and much more volume compared to other CAT-tools.
The team is terrific, friendly and helpful. Thanks to Slack I can always get into easy contact and have my questions answered.

How easy is it to learn?
Not suitable for English to Japanese translation at all.
Review by
Kaori Mikata-Pralat . Easy to use and intuitive, but strange tags appear automatically all the way when translating into Japanese. Didn't improve my productivity. It even lowered my productivity significantly when proofreading/editing as I had to leave a comment every time I modified something.

A Promising CAT Tool

Çağatay Onur Şengör . I have been using Lilt's tool since around February. The tool is responsive, quick and does offer fairly decent MT on certain types of segments.
Their support staff respond to tickets really quickly and the engineering team resolves any issues shortly thereafter.
The tool still has a lot of room for improvement (tag management is a bit of a hassle right now) but seeing the pace, at which it is updated, I'm excited to see what it'll offer in the future.
