13 years of experience as a full-time freelance translator

I moved to France in 2002, immediately after completing my degree in business and modern languages. For five years I worked in internationally-focused businesses including a French holiday accommodation provider, a wine export company and an engineering firm specializing in geographical services. In all of these positions, I automatically became in-house translator - a role which I loved.

I now work full-time as a freelance translator. I love my job and believe that my earlier varied career brings a real advantage to my skills as a translator.

Having worked in business, I understand the importance of being reactive and meeting deadlines.
I read English publications and listen to UK news and radio regularly which help me stay in touch with the latest uses of the language.

As part of an ongoing effort to expand my knowledge in wine, in July 2017, I successfully passed the WSET Level 3 award on Wines & Spirits (in English).
