Greetings / Bonjour !

I just got a 6000-word editing job from an old-time client, which is due tomorrow, Eastern Time. In your experience, what would be the best quoting approach:
-- charging an extra editing fee per hour?
OR
-- a rush fee based on the total word count?

Any ball park figure is also welcomed.
Thank you/Merci pour vos suggestions.

Charge at least 25% . . . Nov 28, 2006

higher than your usual hourly rate. Certainly, you should mention it explicitly before the client sends the PO.

Good luck.

I also heeded your advice and took it into consideration in my invoicing.
