I am an English-French translator and I would like to do literary translation.
Does anybody know any translation agencies (or any other addresses)specialized in literary translation?

try to apply directly with publishing houses May 22, 2007

Usually the publishing houses don't deal with agencies, they sign contracts with the translator.
Also be aware of specific tax regulation (AGESSA).

A good place where to look is ATLF - Asso des Traductions Littéraires - they have information regarding contracts, terms and conditions.

I currently work with a small publishing house which expressed its needs for literary translators via the ANPE... It's quite unusual, but the site is worth checking from time to time.

There are sometimes job offers on the Asfored website:

But as Nordiste wrote, writing directly to the publishers is the best way. If you can get your hands on the catalogue of the Salon du Livre, an incredible amount of publishers are listed in it...
