Ich habe eine sehr umfangreiches Word-Dokument (3,52 MB)bekommen, mit schon umfangreichen Bearbeitungen. Word 2002 ist schon für das dritte Mal zusammengebrochen, ohne meine Arbeit zu speichern (obwohl ich eine automatische Speicherung eingestellt habe), nach Meldungen wie \"Zu wenig Arbeitsspeicher\" (512 MB). Den Inhalt zu kopieren, funktioniert auch nicht.
Und den Kunden erreiche ich bis Montag nicht mehr.

Übrigens hatten sie aufgrund der problematischen Vorlage auf eine TM-Verarbeitung verzichtet.

Hi Geneviève,
I suggest you repeat your posting in English - this should increase your chances of getting responses here.
Without knowing more about the document, it\'s impossible to even guess what the reason could be. There\'s a few general things you could try:
- Open a new (empty) document. In your corrupt document, select all (A), then hold the key and deselect the last paragraph mark using the left arrow. Copy all this into the clipboar... See more Hi Geneviève,

Without knowing more about the document, it\'s impossible to even guess what the reason could be. There\'s a few general things you could try:
- Open a new (empty) document. In your corrupt document, select all (A), then hold the key and deselect the last paragraph mark using the left arrow. Copy all this into the clipboard (C). Paste this into your empty document.
- Try saving the document as RTF.
- If you know where the problem hits, try saving the document without this paragraph or page.

Mit dem leeren Dokument war es mein erster Versuch, allerdings sind an dem Text so viele Veränderungen gemacht worden, dass ich den Inhalt einfach nicht kopieren kann.
Auch nicht nachdem ich das als RTF-Datei gespeichert hatte.
Und nach einer Meldung von Word sind es nicht nur eine, sondern mehrere Fehler im Dokument.

On one project, I had to deal with very large files. In doc format, I experienced frequent crashes in Word and was unable to clean the document (it crashed during the doc-rtf or rtf-doc conversion at the beginning or at the end of the cleaning process). I then tried to work directly from rtf files and could only deal with a few segments before experiencing a fatal machine crash. I, later on, tested the same files with Office 2000 and everything worked fine, in doc and rtf formats.

There is another aspect you may wish to consider in addition to using \'Normal\' instead of \'Page layout\' view, particularly when translating tables: check the Word \"RegOptions\"; this controls some cache memory settings in Word. Personally, I would comment that Word was never in the wildest fantasies of MS\'s designers intended to be used with such large documents (unless your document is almost entirely graphics). If Word will stay up long enough for you to do so, try dividing your document into several subdocuments of around 200K to 300K each (which should also make Word respond faster).

Ich arbeite hauptsächlich mit OpenOffice.org (die Umsonst-Version von
StarOffice) und habe damit keine Probleme auch mit Word-Dateien, die mehrere
MB groß sind. OOo ist sehr robust und lässt sich sehr selten aus der Bahn
werfen, auch nicht von korrumpierten Word-Dateien, die Word selbst nicht zu
öffnen vermag. (Zugegeben, meine Word-Version ist die 97iger.) Für solche Fälle

Abspeichern als rtf gilt.
