WHERE: TAFE City Campus, Light Square, Adelaide, South Australia WHEN: Wednesday 8 August 2012 at 6:30 PM After almost two years of consultation, research, debate and revision, the new Code of Ethics, incorporating a new Code of Conduct, is scheduled to be voted on at the AUSIT AGM in Sydney on 1 December 2012.

WHERE: TAFE City Campus, Light Square, Adelaide, South Australia WHEN: Wednesday 8 August 2012 at 6:30 PM After almost two years of consultation, research, debate and revision, the new Code of Ethics, incorporating a new Code of Conduct, is scheduled to be voted on at the AUSIT AGM in Sydney on 1 December 2012.
The Code is a very important tool that guides the practice of interpreting and translation. The new version contains a number of significant changes and additions designed to reflect AUSIT’s drive to raise standards and improve the level of language service delivery in a changing professional environment.
The final draft Code will be presented by Christian Schmidt, a member of the Code of Ethics working group who also coordinated the final stage of the Code of Ethics review process. The hour-long presentation will be followed by an open question and answer period.
