I have not tried version 7 yet but remember that the Translator/Lite version can only be used to edit files (TTK files) prepared by the Developper/Pro version.

Catalyst 7's Help editor is limited at best

Hi-
I use Catalyst 6 Developer/Pro at my company, and this is the full, deluxe, end-of-world version that costs more than a decent new car. I took a long look at version 7 and was initially intrigued by the help editing feature, but 1) it only works on already compiled help files (i.e., help projects that have already been generated from native formats such as Adobe RoboHelp and *not* compatible with FrameMaker and other standard applications), and 2) it will not work in the free Translator/Lite edition unless your client prepares these files for you (in .ttk format) and then sends them to you to edit in that freelance version.
So you might want to ask your client if (s)he has the full Catalyst 7 Developer/Pro edition and can make a .ttk QuickShip file available to you.
