Some other people told me that my son has to study English Literature instead of IELTS to get an A-level certificate of high school.

many thanks for your help.

The UK does not have a school-leaving certificate Jun 19, 2013

I'm not sure I understand your question, but there is no such concept in the UK as "graduating high school". You can take as many A-levels as you want (and are capable of doing). A-levels will help you get a university place if you want one. There is no measure of attainment for 18 year olds other than A-levels.

3 A Levels Jun 19, 2013

is the norm in years 12 and 13, but you can do more and at whatever age you please too.

If your son completes his UK A levels, he probably doesn't need any other proof that he speaks English because the exams and coursework are all in English.

There is no such thing as a certificate of high school in the UK, or graduating high school.

You just get certificates for each A level with the grade/mark stated on it.

I'm not sure I understand your question either. Is it for you or your son?

What are you trying to obtain?

Swiss Hotel Management School Jun 19, 2013

Since the Hotel Management School is in Switzerland, the admission requirements no doubt reflect the Swiss Education system rather than that of the UK.

Three A levels (at least at grade C) are almost certainly the equivalent of a "High School Diploma".

Three A-levels should be fine Jun 19, 2013

It's the norm in the UK, and it demonstrates that your son has completed secondary schooling. Why not write and ask the institution?

The explanation here says that interpretations vary, but A-levels are definitely OK: http://www.srooster.com/?p=4

WOW, thank you all.

What I worry is if my son has 3 A level certificate and the hospitality say he has not finished high school as they stated in their entry requirement.
