ABC News attempt to translate the Prime Minister of Canada’s remarks in French produce some wacky results.

Hilarious! Mar 19, 2016

So if I understood well, the speech is first deciphered by speech recognition "technology", then translated on-the-fly by machine translation "technology", but the rubbish that came out of it is due to wrong settings only.

"Technology" is not at stake then. Phew. I feel better.

Hmmm Mar 19, 2016

What is "the White House to gibberish", or is that just gibberish?

Lost to gibberish at the White House Mar 19, 2016

Missing comma perhaps:

Trudeau speech gets lost in translation, at the White House, to gibberish.

Perhaps it's an idiom like "lost to obscurity" or "lost to the ages"...?

It would be better to eliminate the trite "lost in translation" and just use "speech at the White House lost to gibberish"
