Translation - English Taxes: 11 billion more in charges next year
An effort distributed almost equally between households and businesses, 1 billion euros in VAT added on top of the "triple play" internet provisioning. Taxation of financial and capital gains increased by 1 or 3 points.
The dual fiscal and social volatility, the result of a sad political banter, has become one of the big handicaps of France.
The French will have to suffer tax increases as of January 1st. The 2011 budget, which was approved yesterday by the Constitutional Council, paving the way for 11 billion euros in additional charges, distributed almost equally between households and businesses. The Government points out that there is no general increase in taxes. This is the result of the fact that a string of targeted measures have been implemented. The State expects significantly more than 1 billion from the increase in VAT on "triple play" provisioning (internet, fixed telephony, television). The approximately 70,000 employers declaring their employees' real salaries will lose the benefit of the reduction of 15 points on employee contributions. Real estate capital appreciation will be taxed at 19% instead of 16%, as are capital gains on securities (stocks, bonds). Meanwhile, businesses will be subject to 2 billion euros tax relief. This round of taxation will once more resume next year. Tens of tax measures may change. This instability is unfortunately part of the landscape.

Pyöräily on kuntolajien ykkönen.
Pyöräily on kuntolajien ykkönen.
Suomen suosituimmat urheilulajit 2010 (HeiaHeia.com):
Kuntoiluun kannustavan verkkopalvelun suosio huimassa nousussa
Translation - English This is how Finns exercised in 2010
The online service HeiaHeia.com listed Finland's favorite types of exercise in 2010.
The popularity of this online service encouraging exercise is rising at a dizzying pace
Out of the individual sports activities, during the past year, Finns spent the most time cycling. Walking earned silver in second place, and fitness training at the gym earned bronze.
Although cycling is indeed first, one should also take into account the popularity of various guided exercises. One of the founders of HeiaHeia, Olli Oksanen, points out that if the hours spent doing gymnastic and aerobic exercises were to be counted together, they would account for more than cycling, even as much as 20 percent.
The most popular type of workout is body-pump, which comes in at 9th place. The trendy zumba and kettlebell are also included in the group of twenty, as well as the widely-known area of gymnastics.
