That seems fair enough to me. 100,000 characters free-of-charge per day is ample for a translator. Depending on language combination, this is can be be over 10,000 words per day, right?
I wonder how this will be implemented by SDL in Studio...

Yes, but if CAT Tool X uses Google Translate, do all users of the tool count up to the single "user" that Google identifies in its 100k character limit?
